KKN Gurugram Desk | On Tuesday afternoon, a terrifying incident unfolded in Patna’s Kankarbagh area, triggering panic among residents. At around 2 PM, four armed criminals opened fire outside a house, before running into a nearby building to take shelter. The reason for the firing and the target of the attack have not yet been confirmed.

Police Operation Launched Immediately

As soon as the police were informed about the shooting, they initiated a swift operation to apprehend the criminals. Upon reaching the scene, the criminals fled into a house belonging to a man named Upendra Singh, a resident of Kankarbagh, and barricaded themselves inside.

The police responded quickly, with officers from four different police stations rushing to the area. Senior police officials also headed to the scene to assess the situation. In an effort to ensure public safety and manage the chaos, a heavy police presence was deployed around the area.

Special Task Force (STF) Joins the Operation

The situation escalated quickly, and the Special Task Force (STF) was called to assist in the operation. Upon their arrival, the STF teams surrounded the house completely, taking all necessary precautions to avoid any further violence. Officers began speaking through loudspeakers, urging the criminals to surrender peacefully.

Despite the efforts to bring the situation under control, tensions remained high. Police officers continued their appeals for the criminals to give up, while urging local residents to stay inside their homes for their safety.

Area Cordoned Off, Residents Advised to Stay Indoors

The police cordoned off the entire area, restricting access to the public. This was done to ensure the safety of both the residents and the law enforcement officers involved in the operation. The authorities, including Patna’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), were on-site, monitoring the situation closely.

Officials also took to public channels to advise local residents to remain indoors, as the situation continued to unfold. Many residents in the surrounding area quickly locked their doors and windows, taking precautionary measures in case the situation worsened.

Ongoing Efforts to Resolve the Situation

At the time of reporting, police operations were still underway. There was no immediate information about the criminals’ demands or intentions. Authorities are working relentlessly to resolve the crisis while maintaining public order and safety.

The police operation has created a sense of unease among the people in Kankarbagh, and the situation remains under intense scrutiny. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.

Patna’s police force is operating under high alert, with additional teams and resources mobilized to ensure the safety of the citizens. The ongoing operation is being carefully managed, with the hopes of bringing the situation to a peaceful conclusion without further violence.

As this story develops, local news outlets and authorities are urging residents to stay updated and follow safety instructions.
